It gets the job done if you really want ANC (like playing at a LAN), but you won't get anywhere near the stellar performance of the best active noise-canceling headphones. The first is active noise cancelation (ANC), which works but is fairly weak. The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless has two major downsides when it comes to audio, though. I can go about 15 or 20 meters away from the docking station with no issues in this mode. You can choose to have it operate in distance or speed mode, where speed ensures there is no latency, but it won't travel as far. In its 2.4GHz mode, there is no discernible latency, which is exactly what you want for the competitive games this headset is designed for. The other worry you may have when it comes to a wireless headset is latency. There are a ton of additional quality-of-life improvements and features that really propel this headset to be one of the best, Even in VALORANT, a significantly newer game, I just prefer the regular game audio over the default equalizer. I've been playing Counter-Strike for upwards of 10 years, and I usually turn them off. However, I've typically found these equalization options gimmicky. This comes in handy with games like Counter-Strike and VALORANT, which have custom audio profiles designed with pros in mind and sometimes by the pros themselves. It's especially impressive since you can process all audio on your PC and even equalize different applications separately. But you can configure it further with SteelSeries Sonar, which is a built-in equalizer in the SteelSeries client on Windows. This is probably a good thing in competitive shooters, as games require a lot of sound, and the bass is probably the first thing you'll hear if an enemy is approaching. Out of the box, the headset sounds fairly balanced with a slightly increased bass. It's not the best headset in the world in terms of sound quality, and there are better in this price range, but this is a gaming headset that cares about sound as much as more expensive headsets. I was expecting it to be a decent experience for the price, but I wasn't expecting it to be competitive as just an actually good pair of headphones. The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless surprised me with its audio quality. Performance and audio quality Good for a gaming headset
